Action-packed calendar helps Mawson Lakes warm up for winter

The Mawson Lakes community will be staying warm this winter with a calendar of fun events the whole family can enjoy.

A diverse range of events has been scheduled for the community throughout June and July, including fitness classes, eco tours, business seminars, astronomy courses, book fair and coffee appreciation night. The vast majority of the events are free.

Mawson Lakes Project Director Vince Rigter said the winter calendar featured activities for all tastes, ages and lifestyles, delivered by a range of local organisations and community groups.

“With winter upon us, there is definitely a chill in the air. But our fun winter events will keep residents and their families so busy, they will hardly notice,” he said.

“A key part of any successful community is encouraging resident activity and social interaction. This year we’re thrilled to see so many community groups, businesses and organisations jump in and organise free seminars, classes and other fun things for residents.

“Whether its activities for kids, lifestyle, staying active, the environment or improving business, I encourage everyone to take advantage of the calendar of events, come along, meet their neighbours and enjoy life.”
