Mawson Lakes’ culinary precinct complete

Lakes Seafood restaurant has become the latest addition to Mawson Lakes’ culinary precinct in the community’s town centre, Mawson Central.

Opening on Mawson Lakes Boulevard, Lakes Seafood complements the existing restaurants on The Promenade, taking Mawson Lakes’ restaurant, café and bar count to ten.

The new bistro joins existing restaurants Indochina, The Boatdeck Café, Darsharna’s Curry and Tea House, and Nik’s BBQ on the Lake.

Mawson Lakes Project Director Vince Rigter said the opening of the new restaurant complemented the community’s existing culinary offering.

“Situated on Sir Douglas Mawson Lake, Mawson Central features retail shopping, office space, and a number of delicious restaurants and cafes. Mawson Lakes is the new culinary heartbeat of northern Adelaide,” he said.

“From Greek to Indian and modern Australian to Thai, Mawson Lakes features a range of quality restaurants. Whether you’re in the mood for a spicy green thai chicken curry or some Greek meatballs and yiros, Mawson Lakes has a range of restaurants to tempt your tastebuds.

“Restaurants along Mawson Lakes Boulevard are in a prime position to monopolise on the glorious views of Sir Douglas Mawson Lake, and I have no doubt it will forever remain a favourite spot for northern Adelaide residents to come together.

“Whether its professionals getting their morning coffee, families enjoying a leisurely lunch or couples out for a drink and meal at twilight, Mawson Central is a place where friends and neighbours can catch up.

“Nik’s BBQ on the Lake has been extremely popular since it opened in December, and has even elected to open Mondays now due to the demand. With over 4,000 professionals working and 8,000 students studying at Mawson Lakes every day, it’s no surprise this precinct is buzzing.”

Mawson Lakes is being developed by Delfin Lend Lease and Land Management Corporation, and will eventually house approximately 10,000 people in 4,500 homes with 8,000 workers and 7,500 students. Delfin Lend Lease is Australia’s leading developer of urban communities with 24 projects across Australia.
