Budding young scientists will be unravelling the mysteries of science this summer at The Wonderful World of Science workshop, part of the Mawson Lakes Summer Buzz festival.
Being held on Thursday 21 January from 10am to 12pm at The Mawson Centre, the workshop will allow children to conduct their own tests and experiments as they discover fun scientific principles. Bookings are essential and can be made by phoning 83025449 or calling in to The Mawson Centre. The event is free to adults accompanying children. The cost is $15 per child and is suitable for children 8-15 years of age.
Mawson Lakes Project Director Vince Rigter said the workshop was part of the community’s month-long celebration of summer in Adelaide.
“This workshop will prove that science is fun and fascinating. Science and technology plays a major part in all our lives, but most of the time we don’t realise it. By having children conduct their own scientific tests they not only have a great time, but also appreciate the wonders of the world around them,” he said.
