Northern Adelaide residents are warming up their vocal chords in preparation for Mawson Lakes’ 11th annual Carols by the Lake at Mobara Park on Sunday 13 December.
Starting at 5:30pm, the evening will feature Christmas carol favourites and entertainment, along with free rides, games and face painting for the kids.
There will also be a variety of catering options to tempt the taste buds, raffles, prizes and lucky dips.
Mawson Lakes Project Director Vince Rigter said that he was looking forward to welcoming more than 2,000 people to the community during the festivities.
“With Christmas fast approaching, we are counting down the days to the Mawson Lakes carols night, because it brings so much joy to the community,” he said.
“The event is a great opportunity for us to give back to the community in the true spirit of Christmas.
“Local residents, businesses and entertainers including choirs, dance groups and bands will be part of the celebrations again this year along with a visit from a special guest dressed in red, Santa Clause himself!”
Mawson Lakes is being developed by Delfin Lend Lease and Land Management Corporation, and will eventually house approximately 10,000 people in 4,000 homes with 7,500 workers and 7,000 students.
